I've got the weirdest thing going on |
|
and I don't know why or how or what to do about it and it isn't funny, so if you don't know and want to give me shit, start a copycat thread. (please)
My cell phone battery is draining (with no use) in less than 24 hours. This wouldn't be surprising or even worrying except that this is the 3rd phone it's doing it with. The second one had a new battery put into it (by the company) and this 3rd phone is brand new.
My husband's is not reacting the same way. I'm tearing hair. My computers are fine, the other electronic equipment is ok. It's just my cell phone.
Help.

1. Do you work around any powerful electromagnetics? |
|
In the middle of strong electrical fields? Or in a high moisture, high humidity enviroment?
If so, that could be doing the trick. If not:shrug: I've got nothing.

2. Do you work in a building with lousy reception? |
|
Sometimes, the phone will still search damn hard for a signal, which will drain the battery a lot faster.

And to follow that up, does the OP work in the country, far from a tower? Same principle.

In a quiet suburb and my husband's phone doesn't drain like that and it's 4 years older than the one I just got yesterday (and have already fully charged twice)

5. That doesn't tell us anything, though |
|
How's the signal strength? The reception? Do you have strong magnetic fields?
Do you and your husband have the same carrier and same type of phone?

6. Signal strength is good |
|
Reception is great (we get calls from Europe with no problems), no strong magnetic fields...if there was, wouldn't they affect my computers, too?.
The 2 of us are on the same service and our phones (my second) were identical and bought at the same time. This one, the third, is a Motorola.
