No tidy Hollywood ending. Just like the original series, they never find Earth, and it would be oddly unsatisfying if they did.
We will not speak of the horrendously ill-advised brief series "Galactica 1980". :eyes:

I'm all for the new Galactica--I especially liked the dying President with nothing to lose--but that would kill it for me right up front.
What I would really like--and what will never happen--would be for the Galactica fleet to finally encounter an Earth at a Star Fleet level of technology. The idea that the original group was fleeing to modern day earth stuck in my mind as the most useless part of the whole story.
Sorry. THe old fan-boy in me piping up.

After finding the 13th Colony, Earth, our "Battlestars" and the Galactica join forces to kick some Cylon ass.
Now that would be cool.
