So my FIL passes away in his bed a week ago. We have the service, nutbag SIL comes and I take the high road so much my nose is bleeding from the altitude.

Saturday night, we have 8 14yo boys here for my son's birthday, my 9yo has a friend sleeping over, my 15 yo has three friends sleeping over, including the 18yo friend who is now living with us.

At 3AM, I find myself in the ER with my husband who is unable to breathe due to the pneumonia. Simple right? A little antibiotics, a little fluid, we go home.

WRONG. He has congestive heart failure from the pneumonia. So he has to be admitted.

He is coming home today, but before he does, I have to take the 9yo to the ER because I think she has pneumonia and the 15yo has a horrific case of hives from the new sunblock. The doctor's office can't see them, so I figure, hell, I'll make one trip to the hospital pick up husband, get girls fixed.

So, top that lounge. See, I knew you couldn't.

however when my son was born, i went into premature labor, 6 weeks of bed rest, horrid delivery...and then discharged after 2 days...3rd day can't breathe admitted to ER then to hospital with cardiomyopathy...and told by docs I needed a heart transplant...meanwhile my breasts were swelling with milk and my mother in law comes down to help...I get out of hospital and mother in law announces that she had chylamdia at the dinner table because my clematis outside reminds her of it...

hahahahaha...I chuckle as I look back...

but I notice that none of the excitement - death, pneumonia, hives, more pneumonia is happening to you. It is happening around you, to people you love, which must really be stressful. Maybe I should be thankful that I live alone. I did spend a few hours last night writhing around with an upset stomach, but the porcelain god did not require an offering.
I do not think, however, that all of the turmoil is really a good reason to get your girls "fixed." You are positive now that you do not want grandchildren?

25. UPDATE:

Okay, husband is home. Lots of new meds and going to have a cardiac catheterization on Tuesday.

Daughter #1 has a horrific case of hives, lots of meds for her as well.

Daughter #2 has acute bronchitis. Thank God, not pneumonia. One med for her.

I am eating a turkey sandwich and trying to destress.
