How nice it is to have a husband to come home and mow the lawn |
|
After years of doing it myself, it's nice to pawn it off on someone who enjoys it more.
What tasks (no, not that) are you grateful to have a spouse take care of?

he really mowed the lawn when he got home from work. I already had left for work, where I'm sitting now, so what you are suggesting would not have even been possible.

I do things on my own and I'm better for it. I don't need to rely on people. I don't need the betrayal.
(and no, not that)

5. I relied on myself my entire adult life |
|
and am perfectly capable of it. So, I don't *need* to rely on someone else. I'm just saying it's nice to have someone share the workload for a change.
But, he already has betrayed me, I guess, by mowing the lawn of the old Italian lady across the street. :P

I have this weird thing where I have to be able to see my feet when I'm walking down stairs, or there's a very good chance I'll not be able to tell which foot is where and thus plunge to my death. Trash was always a big sticking point with me where stairs were involved, as I'm all of 5 ft tall and most full trash bags are a good 3. But darling hedges and his lanky 6'3" ass is very willing to do it for me as long as I bellow like a walrus remind him when it needs done.

but I'll pass on that one, too.
Amazingly, he sees a full trash bag and takes it out all on his own accord.
I do think not being able to smoke in the house is part of the reason it gets done -- it provides him with an excuse to go out and light one.
I'm glad you have someone to help, too. I would have to see you die on a heap of garbage. What an unceremonious end.
