In honor of Madonna & today's date....her most "scandalous" songs.

I mean the ones that got the fundies panties all wadded up. Either the song or the video, in chronological order:

1. Like A Virgin - I remember people thought she was making fun of Jesus' mother.

2. Open Your Heart - The video featured Madonna in one of those "Peek-a-boo" shows, and also featured a *very* young boy.

3. Like A Prayer - Oh! The scandal! Jesus as a black man. Burning crosses. Cancelled contract with Pepsi. I did manage to see the Pepsi ad before it was pulled.

4. Express Yourself - Sado-masochism in the video. Also, some feminists complained about Madonna appearing in chains.

5. Hanky Panky - A song about spanking. Fundies no like.

6. Justify My Love - A song about sex. Even MTV chickened out on this one.

7. Erotica. The Song. The Video. The Album. The Sex Book. The Girlie Show tour. 'Nuf said.

8. Human Nature - Another sado-masochistic video. And Madonna snarls that she's not sorry. Unforgiveable.

9. What It Feels Like For A Girl - Madonna goes on a video crime spree, and the fundies act like they've never seen an episode of Hawaii 5-0 or T. J. Hooker.

10. American Life - Madonna tosses a grenade at a GW Bush look-a-like. Madonna blinked on this one and pulled it. I almost can't blame her. In these times, something like that could land you a cot at Gitmo.

I'm so looking forward to the show! I can't wait!!
