The new Greg Graffin (of Bad Religion) album is SPECTACULAR! |
|
I seem to have somehow...ahem..."acquired" this album a little early, and three songs in, it's wonderful. 5 songs by Graffin, 6 traditional American tunes. Kind of a folk-rock/Americana kind of thing with acoustic guitars, harmonicas, banjos, and more traditional rock instrumentation. I'm sure some punk "traditionalists" will vilify him for doing something different, but they're just idiots.

1. So, how can one listen to this album you *ahem* acquired? |
|
I'm a big Greg Graffin / Bad Religion fan too.

2. Well, not that I encourage such behavior... |
|
But if you're torrent-savvy, PM me, and I'll try to direct you in the right direction.

6. Oh dear, I'm afraid I'm torrent-challenged. Will it be on Epitaph? |
|
I will certainly get it then.
Does he tour solo?

little bit. I don't think he was tarred and feathered for it so I doubt Graffin will be.
I'll have to check out the new cd. Thanks for recommending it.

7. Cheating at Solitaire is a great album. |
|
Dennis Lynxzen from Refused also has a great, very non-punk solo album (two actually) out. "Sonngs in the Key of Resistance" and "Songs about Running Away" under the name The Lost Patrol. The Lost Patrol also has a new power pop-ish album out which is pretty good. "Key Of Resistance" is the best of them though.

10. This is not Graffin's first try at such an album |
|
He put out American Lesion back in 1997.
It wasn't great, but I kinda liked it. Can't wait to hear this new one.
