8. Chicken, what else?
It's not too fowly tasting. It's a more neutral taste, like chicken. I only ordered it because of its spelling!

13. Finland is serious about global climate change.
Here is what the Finns are doing:

This plant is specifically being built to meet their Kyoto commitments.

There may be a Finnish equivalent of the Carpenters, but the fact is that the Finns are excellent citizens of the world.

16. I like the music of Finnish composer Jean Sibelius
His music conveys a very northern mood.

I like his Finlandia, which I think is his best known work.

I like his symphonies; I especially love his 2nd and his 5th symphonies.

Other works of his which I particularly like are his Karelia suite, and his tone poem Night Ride and Sunrise.

As for Finland itself, I think this would be a very nice time of year to be there, with the long daylight hours.

18. Monty Python wrota a song about them
Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I want to be,
Pony trekking or camping,
Or just watching TV,
Finland, Finland, Finland,
It's the country for me.

You're so near to Russia,
So far from Japan,
Quite a long way from Cairo,
Lots of miles from Vietnam.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I want to be,
Eating breakfast or dinner,
Or snack lunch in the hall,
Finland, Finland, Finland,
Finland has it all.

You're so sadly neglected,
And often ignored,
A poor second to Belgium,
When going abroad.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I quite want to be,
Your mountains so lofty,
Your treetops so tall,
Finland, Finland, Finland,
Finland has it all.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I quite want to be,
Your mountains so lofty,
Your treetops so tall,
Finland, Finland, Finland,
Finland has it all.

Finland has it all...

23. Boy, didn't they embarrass the Russians in 1939-40?
And walked a hell of a tightrope from the end of WWII through 1989 to keep the Russians at arm's length. They could have been another Lithuania.

24. Finland is a beautiful country.
I visited Helsinki and Turku on the west coast.

It is really nice this time of year with the extended daylight hours.
The people are friendly, the food is fantastic and the architecture is
very modern and beautiful.

I would love to go back one day.

Don't forget, some of the best NHL players come from Finland.
Teemu Selanne is one example.
