The heroic writer of Seabiscuit
Edited on Tue Jul-29-03 02:53 PM by demnan
On the NPR program "Fresh Air" this afternoon Laura Hillenbrand is discussing her life, living with cronic fatigue syndrone.

This lady struggled with her own health to write the book in a recent New Yorker (I'll try to find the link) she discusses her illness and the struggle to write the book.

The link to the New Yorker story:

1. Amazing, simply amazing!
Thank you. I bookmarked this and emailed it to people I know. Makes my troubles seem like paper cuts in comparison. I'm glad her book is a best seller. I wish the best for her. That was a curious story about the deer and falling star; I sense there's more to that that we earthbound humans can't see. I wonder what a "real" shaman would say about that; it has some spiritual vibes around it. She sure went through hell going to those quacky doctors.
