Know why?
The first girl I ever had sex with, then got engaged to, then got dumped by for her ex-boyfriend was from Minot.
Oh well, that was 11 years ago.
Minot still sucks though.

9. Minot's a paradise compared to Grand Forks (At least from what I've seen). |
|
Edited on Fri Dec-12-03 01:31 AM by northwest
Grand Forks is the smelly ball sack of North Dakota. Minot is more scenic, located near the Turtle Mountains and lots of forested hiking trails.

6. Know any Seattle progressives? |
|
There was some guy who was apparently quite an activist here in Seattle before he moved to North Dakota. As I recall, he went to North Dakota to study something or other and planned on returning to Seattle to resume his battle against the establishment.
He got elected to some office, probably in Minot or Fargo. I think he might have run on the Green Party ticket. It sounded like a lot of the local conservatives hated him.
I was hoping to contact him because he had reportedly amassed a wealth of information about Seattle Police Department corruption. But I never could contact him, and I don't know what happened to him.
Since he was discussed in the Seattle Weekly, he might have been a phony; they seldom give real activists the time of day. But I was sure intrigued by the poice corruption CD he reportedly made.
I'm originally from South Dakota, by the way. Beautiful country.

8. Minot's the only North Dakota city I've never been to. |
|
And they have the 2nd largest mall in the state (behind West Acres).
I'd say a week or so.
How's it going up there at that old abandoned outhouse that they call UND???:D:D:D:D:D:hi::hi::hi:

10. Only thing I know about Minot is Randy Hedberg |
|
He was briefly a sensation as a rookie QB for Tampa Bay in maybe '77 or '78, after playing at Minot St. The Buccs were just starting to lose the laughingstock tag, and Hedberg was the QB before Doug Williams. I even remember a Minot radio station picking up the Tampa Bay broadcasts because local interest in Hedberg was so high. Minot got quite a bit of national publicity while Hedberg was starting during that rookie season.
I think Hedberg ended up with the Packers. Last I heard, he was a coach somewhere.

14. Do you know how many dead people are buried in Richmond? |
|
All of them.
There are more dead people in Richmond than there are living ones. City popluation is about 100,000. It probably isn't tha only one.

13. May we consider that an invitation? |
|
For people keeping track of these things, you could replace the population of my entire COUNTY in southwest Virginia with the current DU numbers, and STILL have 3,000 or so left over to guard the borders. Or, if everyone would be patient until we hit 52,000 or so, we'd have enough to take over the county next door (which is actually a much nicer neighborhood).
