What would you make of this interview? |
|
Fifteen minutes long, maybe. For a reception/admin position with a nonprofit association.
Very friendly, good rapport, but very short interview. Or is that normal? I was sent by a recruiter. I REALLY want the job.
On my way out, they were all shaking my hand and stuff, and were like, "Well, best of luck in whatever you do" and "we'll make a decision this week and let you know, err, have RecruiterX let you know."
They didn't seem really standoffish, though.
I am confused.
All the interviews I ever went on in the UK lasted at least 45 minutes.

1. Seems rather short to me. |
|
Though non-profits might not have the time for longer interviews.

Are their other candidates represented by a headhunter? One thing that comes to mind (since I work for a non-profit) is that all things being equal, if one candidate comes with an upfront fee to pay to the hunter, they probably won't do it. Money is so tight at most non-profits.
Hope you find out. The recruiter should be able to clarify things for you...
