WOO HOOO! This is my 100th post!

It’s taken me some time to get to 100 (seeing as how I really SHOULD be working) and it makes me wonder just how the hell so many of you got up into the 5 digit range! WTF do you people do for a living? ;-)

But this is not about you, is it?

One day some months ago, a friend of mine sent me a link to DU. Well - I came, I lurked, I saw the Top 10 Conservative Idiots – and I was hooked!

Then one day while lurking (“I like to watch”) – something particularly EVIL undertaken by the Heinous Anus Administration was being discussed. I don’t even remember what it was, there has been so much EVIL – but I said to myself – “those filthy rotten bastards!” - hence, a username was born.

Well: To celebrate 100 inconsequential, substance-free posts, I’m considering changing my username to something that doesn’t give others the impression that I am an angry, cynical and jaded person. I AM an angry, cynical and jaded person – but I don’t want others to know this.

SO: I would like you to vote on whether I should change my username or not. The votes will be counted on Monday morning and will be certified by Katherine Harris and her crack team of election experts from Diebold Election Systems.

SO get out there and rock the vote while I try to stay away from DU long enough to get some work done so I don’t become one of the Un(employed)Dead…

The same thought hit me last night when I realized that some people have been members of DU for half the time I have, but have 50 times as many posts as I do. I suppose it's me being my usual inarticulate self, but hey, not every post here is articulate! :7

So I'm working on that. I still have a little ways before 100, though.

I am not quite to 100 posts yet and haven't managed to feel too offended by anything quite yet and I do read GD stuff, too. I do wonder how people manage to spend so much time here... I do contract work and have a little time to stop by here, but by the time I get around to reading and replying to a few things and then come back later after the kid is in bed or the next day, most stuff is nowhere to be found. Congratulations on your 100.

PS how do you start a thread... I've seen people starting one with fewer posts than me ... I thought they had to tell you you could acutally start one! Although I'm not sure I want to start one as yet.
