I took my bedspread and sheets out of the dryer at 7:30 pm , it is now 12 am ... no wonder I am always rushing at the last minute.

13. Oh, it has definitely saved money.

I made the decision to shut down the central air after getting a $350 electric bill, last summer. The next bill I got was $79. :) (I am the only person living here).

8000 BTU? I spent about $80 on a 5000 BTU. I sorta wanted the bigger one, but I could get two 5000s for less than the 8000.

And someday I may get around to responding to the queen.

It's a fairly large bedroom, over the double garage, and it is on the west side of the house. It gets very hot so I didn't think a 5000 BTU would cool the room efficiently and comfortably. I think 8000 is the perfect size for the room and conditions. Still, that $200 investment has easily paid for itself at least four or five times over.
