Earrings: Dangly or not????
Geez, I love dangly earrings....the longer and more ornate, the better.... :D I like for them to be long enough to touch my shoulders! :P I have some post earrings that are very short, but I never wear them---not long enough! :) I've got pierced ears (just one hole in each lobe and nothing more!), and I've been trying my hand at making my own jewelry recently.

Which do you like? :)

1. That depends on your hair.
I thought the rule was always match your hair.

If you have long hair, go with dangly.
If you have short hair, go with short earings.
If you have big hair go with big earings.

I haven't worn earings since college though, so what do I know? :)

2. I've seen people with short hair wearing the dangly ones...
...and they look pretty good! My hair is shoulder-length, so I guess I'm going by the longer hair/longer earrings rule. :P

4. Usually dangly if my hair is pulled up/back,
and posts if it's down. :hi:

5. I've gotten out of the earring habit...
My hair's long but I've never really been big on dangly. I've had a few pair, but not a whole lot of 'em. I stopped when the kids were little because they grabbed at 'em and then just never got back into it.

Mostly, these days I skip 'em entirely...at work I'm on the phone a lot and they can be an irritant (probably because I'm not used to 'em) and now I only wear 'em when I get dressed up. And I almost never get dressed up, it seems.

6. As long as they aren't the large, gold "I'm a whore!" hoops, go for it.
Dangly or studs, both are good as long as they match the outfit, the face, the hair, and the occasion.

12. could not have said it better myself
it is all about the TOTAL effect....and the image you are trying to project. There is a reason these Hollywood types PAY to have someone dress them.

7. Generally big silver hoops but if I wear my hair up,
I love big dangly ones with lots of sparkle.

8. My dear NewWaveChick1981!
Interesting question....

My hair is short, and I tend to wear studs....

But every now and then, I feel like making a bolder statement, and I'll wear something either dangly or just big.....

I prefer studs since the dangly ones tend to give me a headache after awhile......

Also, I don't want to enlarge the holes I have, and I've seen some folks who that has happened to....

Their earlobes are all stretched out, and to me that is most unattractive...

So, it just depends on my mood, and what I'm dressing for.

:hi:

10. Dangly earrings are so much fun in the summer.

I look for the lightweight variety to avoid irritating or stretching my lobes.

Making jewelry can be rewarding. I was hand knotting necklaces for a few winters. It gave me a great deal of joy to see someone proudly wearing one of my creations.

11. Now that I have longer hair, I wear dangly earrings
I used to just wear studs or small hoops, because I thought longer earrings looked funny with my buzzed head, :P. Plus I was pretty butch in high school and didn't wear many pretty things.
I went awhile never wearing any~ and most of my earrings were lost during moving from one place to another. I just bought 3 pairs of turquoise chip dangly earrings a few weeks ago, and I wear them all the time!

13. Well, my lobes have plugs in the 1st hole and rings in the 2nd hole.
I can put my pinkie through my earlobe. It's a great party trick.

15. I started wearing them again after my child was old enough
not to yank em out!

I dragged all my 80s "Calder mobiles" out of my closet and wore a few of em.

16. I can't wear dangly earrings. My neck is too short and dangly earrings
sit on my shoulders looking stupid. I wear small, thick silver hoops every day. I never wear gold, haven't worn gold since I was a pre-teen.

17. Depends on your outfit
If you're making your own, you could make the hanging part with a little loop at the top so it could be attached behind the stud. Then, you'd have both.

leaf pattern, and they make a nice clacking wooden sound! :) I like the clinky ones, too!
