does she have to run around looking like a hillbilly skank all the time? ALL THE TIME??

4. Hi, Flaxbee
:hi:

the story I got that pic from says that Britney wouldn't let her stylist do her hair for that interview because she wanted to do it herself.

I hope the young lady has put some money aside for her future. It appears her 15 minutes are just about up.

5. She's 6 months pregnant.
She looks like a normal woman pregnant at 6 months... with a 9 month-old.

If she were my friend, I'd probably tell her she looked gorgeous. But, she's Britney.

She just can't "win". She would have caught a ton of shit if she has been all "made up" and "fake" looking... I dunno, I just hate to see a woman's "looks" be such a focal point.

6. When I was six months pregnant, I pretty much stayed
away from see through blouses and mini skirts -- especially when giving a major interview -- but hey, maybe I was one of the abnormal ones.

38. But times have changed.
Not my style either. When I was pregnant I wore large maternity smocks and stretch capris (not because I thought they were wonderful but because I could buy plus size ones that were much cheaper than the maternity pants). But I have noticed that many of the young college and military wives in my town are wearing outfits similar to Britney's while pregnant.

Times change. We don't have to like it.

8. She must still be threatening to some
Edited on Mon Jun-19-06 11:34 AM by DaveTheWave
Just like my wife and her friends always say about gorgeous women, even when nobody asks.

"She's not that pretty!"

Makes themselves feel better about their own inadequacies I guess.

But hey...I wish I looked like Willem Dafoe

10. yeah, I'm so very, very threatened by Britney Spears
:eyes:

that's why I started this thread.

I'm pissed because her hair looks better than mine, her skirt is shorter than mine, and her husband is more worthless than mine :eyes:

32. I don't think it's her size that's the problem. At least not in my opinion
anyway. Her size is fine for a pregnant woman. I think it's the fact that she dresses like a trashy teenage mall chick while pregnant that causes folks to comment. Especially since she's doing an interview on national television, not hanging out at the mall. She's got all the money in the world for a stylist. If she's so concerned about all the comments on her appearance, then maybe she should ask them to make her look a bit classier, at least for television appearances. Heck, I'm no stylist and I can tell her that ultra mini jean skirts, flip flops and a bleach fried hair don't equal "wealthy young mother with great taste."

However, I do agree with you that it's disgusting to focus solely on a woman's looks. It bothers me when the tabloids freak out about what someone looks like when they're grocery shopping or getting coffee. I think everyone deserves some privacy, even celebrities. But since Britney made her millions based pretty much on her looks (talent? what talent?), her looks are essentially her "job". Therefore she should be making more of an effort to look presentable when she's working (i.e. appearing on national television and expecting everyone to listen to her whine about how hard her life is).

19. No, afraid not
But he definitely looks like he would do that. At least Kitty Kelly (or is it Kelley?) has always had all the source materials she's needed when it comes to corroborating her stories. Someone should tell Lauer that Kelly is more honest than Coulter could ever be.

the stresses of those back-to-back pregnancies are surely messing with her head, as well as the worthless street urchin she married.

17. Just her stance
makes her look oh-so-much younger than she is. Almost as though she is trying WAY too hard to fit in. I can say this much, though; she's probably made a good move to have her children while she is younger--she can move on to some new things when the kids get a little older. Madonna has had to pretty much go underground with what remained of her career once she finally got married and had little'uns.

23. I have to admit, I'm not a fan, but that photo of her crying in the
booth at that restaurant with the baby on her lap broke my heart. Totally brought out the mom in me. I felt terrible for her.

Where is her mom? I would kill if someone made my daughter cry like that for something a lot of us have done.

However, most pregnant women don't have the paparazzi hounding them either.

29. She certainly isn't the brightest bulb, but she is just a kid.
I can't imagine having that many people scrutinize my every move at her age and I was teaching high school and living a pretty benign life. I wish the stalkarazzi would cut her some slack. It is almost as though they are 'wanting' her to screw up and mess up her life. It bothers me.

30. Ok, I may nit-pick for a moment
but she should have let her stylist do her hair, and she really needed a manicure. I am not a Britney fan but sometimes I do feel for her, when she almost fell holding her baby, shoot I have done that and without twenty photographers crowding around me. Driving with your baby on your lap is pretty inexcusable though, not "country" as she likes to put it. She came off pretty sorry but not too bright during that interview.

I have no respect for anyone like that.

She really believes all the glitter, camera lights and gossip is whats real in life, she's dumb & hooked on it, can't get enough..Looks fade and your still stuck with your soul and lots of depression medication.

43. Watching the interview with Lauer it was apparent that
underneath the thin celebrity veneer is a very insecure, unsophisticated young woman the media has enjoyed gleefully tearing down lately. Too much fame and fortune too fast. Not enough good advice or good advice well heeded.
