Need help naming a kitten. French or Latin for "Gimpy" |
|
My Sis in law has a cat that had 6 kittens. One of them fell about 10 feet off a balcony when it was about 4 weeks old. She thinks it broke it's right rear leg. It is fine, gets around just fine but has a rather peculiar gait to it now.
Any French or Latin speakers that can suggest a clever name? Something along the lines of "Gimpy" or "Peg-Leg"?
BTW, the momma cat is Spot.
Solid black. Not a white hair on it. Spot.
They have a sense of humor.

would be pronounced "bwa-tehw" - or something like that...eu in French is hard to transcribe in English pronunciation...sort of like saying a short e sound with your lips shaped like you're saying a u sound (I know, sounds weird and complicated)
Maybe someone else can explain it better.

French/English translation. Also, a good pun on "clawed".

my dad named Chester, from the Gunsmoke character.
what about Quasimodo? or Captain Hook or Peg Leg (or keeping with the pirate theme: François le Clerc AKA Jambe de Bois)?
Or you could go with something sarcastically opposite, such as Grace.
