Who knows someone named after a character in Dune?
I do. I once lived upstairs from a woman so taken with Dune that she named her daughter Alia and her dog Duncan.

9. Fair enough. I stand corrected. What's so sci-fi about the name Duncan?

12. Nothing, unless a sci-fi book is your inspiration
for naming your kids/dog.

13. I had a dog named Striter. Oh wrong book.
Now the family has a cat named Striter because they liked the dogs name so well. Does this count at all?
