The government controls schools: wanna hear this?
Edited on Fri Dec-12-03 04:47 PM by Race4Peace
B*** is at it again. Remember all those "budget cuts"? Back in the old days, school lunch wasn't the best thing to eat. now that B*** is in the big office, all of us kids are eating peanut butter sandwiches (no, I didn't forget jelly, they don't have it) one day, and for the rest of the month, chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers. So without much energy (especially for the middle schoolers), we lose concentration, fall back a little, we get loaded with work, get worn down, don' get much rest, and we get punished for being worn out!:argh:
And I'm not sure if any of you reading this read what I posted last night about the once a week recss being taken for a grade and that you had to talk and socialize, but the school does's have ties to the government. All comments are accepted.

Ketchup (that's the proper PWT spelling, and I come from a long line of PWT) used to be classified as a vegetable for the purposes of showing how nutritious school lunches were.

I'm so old that I remember when milk was in tiny waxed boxes with flat tops, a hole punched in the top and a "lid" made of the same waxed thin cardboard stapled near the hole.

I'm so old that I remember seeing a lunch lady shred cheddar cheese by hand for the macaroni & cheese. (Edit: see, mac & cheese used to be made with real cheese, and cheese used to come in bricks instead of pre-shredded in bags.)

I'm so old that I never had such a thing as a "nugget" in a school lunch.

13. And that was on holidays!!
weekdays would bring pastries made from mud and patties of clay for which we only got salt for once a week. To drink we would ladle a swig of swill from the abandoned well out back which was mostly mercury and we sang praises of joy because it wasn't lead cuz we LIKED it!!!

8. Ever tried controlling a school?
Classic joke.

Son: I don't want to go to school. The teachers hate me. The students hate me. Even the janitor hates me.

Mother: You have to go to school. You're the principal.
