Anyone know how to calculate volume for speaker enclosures? I found a calculator online, but it asks for specs that make me go :shrug:

I want to build sealed enclosures as I want tight bass, not a thumper. Also, there's not much room behind the seat in my El Camino.

I've got 8-inch woofers. I don't know their free-air resonance frequency.

From the information I've gathered, I'm ball-parking half a cubic foot per enclosure. Can anyone confirm or deny?

3. Aye, there's the rub

In me 'ouse, I'd design everything around the stereo. (I once carpeted over a hardwood floor to make the room more acoustically neutral.) Can't do that in a car, so you do the best you can.

2. Sealed, as in no ports? How will the subs be mounted?

How big are the magnets?

Half a cubic foot sounds too small, but Bazooka did it with a lot less.
