Post an example of horrible casting.
Will Smith as Muhammad Ali instead of the obvious best choice, Cuba Gooding, Jr.

What else??

...Clark, Lois and Richard all looked too young for a five-year elapse. The actors in the 70s Superman looked older.

18. True. And another issue I have is that the kid is supposed to be
five years old, and Clark has been gone five years. So if the kid's 5, she had to have had him the instant (or thereabouts) Clark disappeared. When did she start dating Richard? Ok, so it takes nine months to produce a child. She says the child is Richard's. HUH??? Yep, screwy timeline. And that goes right along with your assertion that all three of the adults are too young---and you're exactly right.

Too many funky continuity issues...

An HBO version of A Bright Shining Lie. The book makes frequent references to Vann's lack of physical stature and it's effect on him. Paxton seemed like a normal sized guy and thus inappropriate for the role.

9. Keanu Reeves as Don John in Much Ado About Nothing.
The man can't act, much less deal with something as complex as Shakespeare. The movie was fine otherwise (I actually enjoyed Denzel Washington as the prince) but I cringed every time that idiot was on screen.

At least he's taking roles that don't require him to act now. The Matrixes just required him to be stiff and stoic.

He has gotten a little better over time. I don't think he will ever be a great actor, by any means. But he tries hard. He was good in the Matrix and interesting in Little Buddha ( I think that was the title.)

45. This was my first thought
I LOVE the Lestat books and Tom Cruise was HORRIBLE!!! He did not capture the bad boy essence of Lestat at all. Brad Pitt was pretty good as Louis though. That guy who played Lestat in the otherwise terrible Queen of the Damned movie was better the Tom Cruise.

I always thought an old boyfriend of mine would have made the perfect Lestat. He had the long blond hair, was tall and lean , and could do the best "vampire" face, not to mention he a little evil streak :-)!

I loved the first two books - Interview with a Vampire & The Vampire Lestat.

Lestat was always the cocky arrogant type and Cruise plays that same role every time he is onscreen.

I thought Pitt as Louis was worse casting - that was a role that required a really deep & intense actor.

I must be the only person on earth who isn't impressed with her. Though I don't have any better ideas who to cast.
:(

Any hunky guy who can actually act would make a good Green Lantern. Though I'd prefer if it's someone slightly older (somebody at least 30). Can you picture Harrison Ford as a much older very experienced Green Lantern?

Eric Bana would be my choice for a younger Green Lantern.

I have no idea who I'd cast as Tony Stark/Iron Man. I guess I'm not up on the current crop of celebrities.

54. The newest Green Lantern
is the original, back from the dead.

Hal Jordan, then John Stewart, then (I forget his name with the bowl haircut), then Kyle Raynor, and now Hal Jordan again.

A movie about the Kyle Raynor green lantern would be cool. He was the Artist, so his use of the ring was the most elaborate. That would be a awesome opportunity for special effects.

I hope you're right about the bollywood actress. That seems like a much better idea than casting an inappropriate American actress. But were no greek actresses available?

Unless the 'rapper' or 'pop star' were actors before they got into music; but I'm sick and tired of studios putting popular musicians into acting roles for the sole reason that they're famous and popular. Because invariably, none of 'em can act for shit - or, as I say it, they act as well as they "perform" music.

76. He made a great Ford Prefect!
I checked IMDB and I see that, other than Monster's Ball in which he played a character I don't remember at all, I've seen nothing that he's done besides Hitchhicker's.

77. It was a small role in Monster's Ball.
He played the father of the neighbor children who the racist father threatened. Still very good.

He had a lead role opposite Alan Rickman in an HBO film "Something the Lord Made" as Vivien Thomas.

It was an extraordinary performance. I don't know if it's available on video, but I highly recommend it.

75. Marlon Brando as Sky Masterson in "Guys and Dolls"...
...this has always bothered me. They have Brando, singing(sic) and dancing(sic) in this film...when the man who was *born* for the &*^%$^&* role, Frank Sinatra, *is in the same movie*...playing Nathan Detroit, another monumental piece of miscasting. But Sinatra! My God--"My Time of Night" amd "Luck Be A Lady" were *meant* to be sung by Sinatra...what the hell were they thinking?
