Nicole Kidman was able to get a full blown Catholic Wedding with a blessing from the priests because they do not recognize her wedding to Tom Cruise, which was done in the Church of Scientology

Whatever you feel about the Church, it was obvious that Nicole really wanted a Church wedding and I never really thought she bought into that whole Scientology deal.

I like her a lot. I thought she handled the breakup with tremendous class.

i am not such a nice person as yourself and the way i look at it is that nicole sold herself for 10 years for money, publicity, access, and career

i guess that is her right but i certainly don't respect or admire her for it

class is not the word that springs to mind, expensive whore is the word i think of in her case

i'm sure holmes too will be v. well compensated for her duties

and that's fine, if a pretty girl wants to sell herself, that is her right in a free country

i just don't feel the word "class" has much application to the situation

I wasn't privy to the inside dealings. It just seemed to me, and admittedly, I am not an avid Hollywood groupie, that she took the high road a lot and seemed to be a decent person.

I don't know that for sure, anymore than you can know that she did it for career, money, fame, etc. It seems to me that her career did a lot better after she and Tom split up, but what do I know?
