Hell, "Kick Out The Jams" by MC5 kicks Rocket Queen's ass on any given day. But you know, I was listening to Rocket Queen when I posted the thread. Heh.

7. Ewww, I hate "Nighttrain" and "It's So Easy". |
|
But "My Michelle" is great, and "You're Crazy" could probably kick "Rocket Queen"'s ass depending on one's mood.
Still, I was listening to "Rocket Queen" and it sounded so fucking great! You should go listen to it right now.

Opening with a vicious gutter screed, life on the streets, running scared... then culminating in a heartfelt ballad....
Hell, it's the whole Appetite album wrapped up nice & tidy in one song.

Not to mention the super-fun-to-sing-along-to "no no no no no no"'s at the end of the song. It's got it all. And a great guitar solo.

Well before "punk" or "metal" were defined.
I'd go so far as to say that Fun House is every bit as metal as G'n'R, and that Appetite is every bit as punk as the Stooges.
I don't really care what the music's called (Stooges were just called "rock music" when they were around), just whether or not it's any good.
And anyway... how do YOU know I have a penis? :o

Second place goes to "Know Your Product" by the Saints, third to "I Got By in Time" by the Jam.
"Help You Ann" by the Lyres and "Starry Eyes" by The Records fit in there somewhere as well.
However, you're talking to a guy here who never liked ANY Guns 'n' Roses song.

I'm paraphrasing when I mentioned that other band - SouthoftheBorderPaul and I once floated "Ass Bandits Invade Anal Castle" as a title of an album from our last band.
