how many miles a week (or month) do you drive?

My work is 5 miles from home. So thats 10 miles per day * 5 days = 50 miles.

Add another 20 miles to visit my sister and parents a few times a week = 70 miles.

Add another 10-20 miles for other things = 90 miles.

So Id say between 80 - 100 miles per week depending on what I do.

1. Not many

Some weeks none at all. I ride the bus or walk a lot. About the only time I drive is if I'm going out of town.

I drove less than 5,000 miles last year, which looks about the same as you.

2. Work alone is 250 miles a week

for round trip, both jobs.

3. depends on the weather

In a good week I don't drive at all, just ride my bike four miles a day round trip to work. Maybe two and a half miles to buy groceries. Life is good.

4. Right now I am driving about 400 miles a week

I could be in court in Van Nuys in the morning, Riverside in the afternoon, then back to Orange County all in the same day
