Fyi, when I initially walked in the room, he had his arms up in the air and was standing straight up on top of the crib. He's going to give me a coronary before I hit thirty.

1. OMG. Look at that adorable face.
He's something. I think chaining him to his bed might be the only option you have left.

4. methinks he's outgrown the crib!
You could send these to the crib manufacturer and give the CEO a coronary. :)

Talented kid -- how did he even do that?

23. He goes from in the crib to on the crib in about three seconds.
It's quite an acrobatic feat to watch. He holds onto the arched part, swings a leg up one side, and then swings the other leg onto the other side and hoists himself up. He makes "babyproofing" things a real challenge!

7. Awwwww...I just want to hug him all up!
In the first pic he appears to be looking up at something. Is there something he was after, or is he just being his sweet, precocious, and astounding self?

I'm bullish on Jack! He's going places!

Thanks for sharing those adorable pics, LaraMN! :loveya: :hi:

When my mom caught me in those kinds of potentially dangerous hi-jinx, I got chewed out or spanked. But you? You go for the camera and make jokes!
You, ma'am, are enlightened. :patriot:

15. that's funny...
when I caught my son doing something like that I always felt grateful that I got there before he really hurt himself. I'd always pick him up and give him a big hug and tell him how much I worry that he's going to get a boo-boo!

24. The way I see it, I have two choices:
1. Freak out about this kind of stuff and, considering the frequency with which it happens, likely cause my own head to implode, or:
2. Appreciate his ingenuity, however terrifying, and enjoy the fact that kids do amazingly crazy stuff. Then find a way to net him in, or something.

My granddaughter was a climber. While you admire their fearlessness, it can be frightening and exhausting chasing them around. You sound like a wonderful loving mother.

14. Obviously he's got the wrong idea
How in the world is he going to lift that crib if he's standing on it?

I mean, come on!

Anyway, if I saw my son doing that, I'd be horrified! I hope that Jack got down from his perch without further incident!

16. you either need one of those mesh tops they have for cribs
or it's time for a toddler bed. Then he can "surprise you" in the middle of the night until you have to put a gate on the bedroom door! (well, that's what happened in my house)

I would have had a coronary if my son had done that. :) But clearly he's destined for the gym!

My mother frequently found me sleeping in other places than the crib. I've been a rock climber for 30 years now, see what it leads to.
