Poll question: What is "sexier" - a writer or a photojournalist? |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-30-06 11:56 PM by RagingInMiami
I happen to be both, but the reason I ask is because this new woman I'm dating views me more as a photojournalist than a writer because she has seen my photos, but has not seen my writing.
Anyway, she told one of her co-workers about me, telling her that "he's a photojournalist" and her friend responded by saying, "ooh, sexy." And of course this was all relayed back to me, which is how I know.
So after getting a slight ego boost from the "sexy" remark, I told her, "hey, don't forget I'm a writer also" and she laughed.
So now that I realize that at least some women view certain professions as "sexy" (where the hell are they when I'm on my photo shoots?), I'm wondering how "sexy" would a writer be considered. Or how about a reporter?
And if you don't mind, please explain why.

It's much more flattering to be thought attractive by somebody with an artist's eye.

Someone who can paint a picture for me with words...someone who can either break my heart or lift it with a phrase...

I have the impression that a photojournalist is out in the thick of events, while a writer (or journalist) is fact checking behind a desk. Maybe that's an unfair assessment, but it is just my first impulse.
Maybe that's where they are coming from?

11. "Photojournalist" suggests an element of danger. |
|
To me, it would make a sexier first impression than writer. You imagine a photojournalist is out there living live on the edge. A writer is just a person in a room alone, writing.
Maybe women want to date a photojournalist, and marry a writer...
