I mostly just thought I'd put that up there for the shock value, especially because it happens to be true.

3. I'm out of hospital and on a cool drug. I feel great. |

And once I find proper fulfillment, won't need the drug at all. :D

I was feeling kind of tired/annoyed before I went to the store, then on the way home just now, I went over some railroad tracks and I looked to the left and noticed an oncoming train. Just a bunch of lights all of a sudden, no gate or no warning lights or nothing. I was already on the tracks so there was nothing I could do but swear and hit the gas. Which I did. The train was going slow, I figured out after I got the hell off of the tracks, but what happened to the warning signals and crossing gate? I go over those tracks almost every day and the gate and lights have always come on before. Anyway, all it takes is something like that to put things in perspective. Life is good, very good.

17. Crappy at the moment...hours got cut at work; have not heard about job |
|
I interviewed for last week (although they said they hoped to have decision by last Friday, so I am less hopeful by the minute); really REALLY broke; have had a migraine every morning for the last three days (thank God for Imitrex); chronic hives STILL have not gone away and they're driving me even more crazy than the damn steroids I have to take to get rid of them; working for the boss from hell; afraid something may be seriously wrong with my car; and there are still stupid assholes in this country who think chimpy the imbecile and the rePiglican party are where it's at...
Bloody hell.

24. Last weekend our refrigerator |
|
died. So husband and I went to Sears on Monday to buy a new one. The salesperson said the model we wanted was in stock and would be delivered on Friday. OK, not great, but we have an old frig out in the garage that we are using to food, so while not having one in the kitchen is annoying, it's not life-threatening. Yesterday, an automated call from Sears announced that the frig would be delivered on Friday and they would call on Thursday with the 2 hour delivery window. This morning husband calls me at work to say that he had just gotten a call from Sears. They had just updated their inventory computer (wtf?) and our frig was not is stock and would not be delivered until Tuesday. Husband is livid and screaming at me. Hello - he is the one who wanted to go to Sears in the first place. Of course, he's also angry that I would not buy a stainless steel one that he liked because I couldn't afford it (I work and he stays home with the kidlet.) And we had to cancel our summer vacation because of needing to buy a new frig. So he's asking me if we should cancel and then telling me that he doesn't want to. I finally said I would go along with whatever he decided. So he is going to go over to Sears when they open and demand that the frig be delivered first thing Tuesday. IF (well, ok, not if, but when) they tell him that they have no control over delivery times and routes and can't guarantee anything, he is going to cancel the frig. Of course he is also pissed at me because I paid for it by check. I am trying to get out of credit card debt and pay cash for as much as I can, which is why I couldn't afford a stainless steel frig. So, I'm ready to rip his head off and the Sears salesperson's as well.
