4. good idea
tho i think the thread may tend to ramble. i was gonna start a gd thread asking du-ers to help me start a letter writing campaign. letters to the editors, columnists, radio and television stations and personalities, congresspeople, everyone, demanding an investigation.

a good letter, but not obviously left biased so that it has half a chance of getting printed.

here is an outline:

"On july 29, 2003 in the Senate hearings on the reconstruction of Iraq, Republican Senator Lincoln Chafee denounced Assistant Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitcz as being dishonest for continuing to try to link Iraq with Al Quaida and claimed that he has been calling for an invasion of Iraq since a 1998 letter to President Clinton from the PNAC, a right-wing think tank. That letter and other important policy papers can be viewed at www.XXXXXXXX.com. Other signers of this letter and members of the PNAC include Cheney, Runsfeld, etc, etc."

"the fact is that it appears it goes way beyong the yellowcake lie. the congressional report recently released on 911 clearly states no connection of Iraq to 911 as well as no significant relationship between Al Quaida and Iraq. On the other hand, the 28 pages that the white house left out clearly implicate Saudi Arabia has aided and abetted the group that killed 3000 americans. Republican Senator Pat Roberts, Chairman of the Senate Intelligence committee said that the report was edited to "protect the Saudis." Republican Senator Richard Shelby said that 95% of the classified info could be made public without endangering national security. An FBI official said Tuesday that most of the information missing was classified at the request of the White House, not intelligence agencies."

"In numerous speeched post 911 President bush has said "we will go after those nations that harbor and assist Al Quaida" (paraphrased) yet it appears that it is the white house itself that is protecting al quaida. i demand a full, complete and open investigation not only into why we attacked iraq instead of allowing the un inspectors 8 more weeks under the guise of an "immediate threat" that clearly was not there as well as disclosure of the missing 28 pages of the 911 report and what they are trying to hide"

anyway, that is my idea. i really don't have time to track down all the proper links, get all the PNAC member names, trace out the exact quote for gee duh-bya and others, including chafee and any others that may help. i am also not a master of the english language so any help at all in editing would be appreciated. i think that if we all can work together, with the intel i have found on this site, i DO think we can make a difference and maybe enlighten the public one vater at a time.

10. Waiting for GD... hey, wasn't that a play?
You know the one - with those two guys who were always waiting around and fighting with each other that turned out to be a big metaphor for the way religious people spend their lives waiting for god instead of doing something useful or meaningful?

That's probably exactly what we will be doing here in the lounge as we wait, yearning, craving, and fighting for GD.

I'm still miffed as it went down just as I was posting something grand and absolutely hilarious to the Chimp Press Conference Thread. No really, I was.

12. Chimpys first press con in 383746501918373645.09 years
was a failure.

There he was, heeing and hawing, leaning on the podium, slurring his words and very much acting quite badly.

He couldn't sell burgers to starving people even if the price was free. How this man could be in the white house is a traversty of common sense.

20. I was nauseated to see part of the Press Conference
He kept trying to be all witty with the lady reporters and cute. All I heard was a rehashing of everything we have already heard comeout of his mouth. Lies. Question-evasion. Stock sayings. Someone on here the other day quoted a REPUBLICAN friend as saying that Bush's voice reminded her of fingernails on a chalkboard. I think that I would choose the chalkboard over his tripe any day.
