I'm sitting here, listening to the rain drumming on the roof and I can smell it. Lightning flashes in the distance; the briefest of illumination followed by the low, far-off rumble of thunder. I know that outside the rain has washed away the day's heat and dust. Outside it's cooler and the breeze is going to be a little fresher when I head home. The streets will gleam and the leaves on the trees will glisten.
And I'll squish. The back windows in my car aren't closed.
DAMMIT.

And yup...in the great scheme of things, a little squishing ain't the worst thing in the world.
And...since it's cooler...it oughta be good sleepin' weather for a change.
:woohoo:

Into each life (or, in this case, lap) a little rain must fall.
