How the hell do you make prune juice?
It's dry, like a raisin, from which you cannot extract moisture.

And, have you ever noticed, there's no such thing as a bottle of plum juice?

Hmm. I'm thinking the prune people have some dirty little secrets they're threatening the plum people with.

4. It's easy to make
You make it before the plum has dried completely. You add LOTS of water.

But I like your theory about the prune people threatening the plum people better.

5. I guess that makes sense.
I started some plum wine yesterday and noticed how much it smelled like prune juice.

And then I started thinking. And that's usually not a good thing.

6. The only reason I knew that was
because my grandma made it. She didn't like regular prune juice so she made her own & used apple juice in place of some of the water. Or she might have used vodka, she was always smiling after she drank it.

13. According to the Sunsweet Prune Juice bottle,
It is a "water extract of dried plums". As to the process I have no clue.

14. Four-step process:
1)  Prunes are washed and softened by steaming
2)  The softened prunes are passed through a pulper to create a watery puree
3)  The puree is treated with pectic enzymes to prepare for filtration
4)  The puree is filtered, pasteurized, and bottled
