For the ladies ONLY ...... |
|
whenever you are feeling less-than-sexy - what do you do to remedy that? I have to take another look at my wardrobe and do more 'girly' shopping as I've relaxed totally into jeans and tee shirts. Need to go to Victoria's Secret and stock up on goodies as well. Suggestions?

8. I look im the mirror and remember who I, my mother, and my grandmothers |

were. Then I set my shoulders back, start leading from my chin, and say to myself, "The men, they like power. Powerful women are sexy."

9. Black leather corset, black velvet mini, spiderweb lace hoop and opera |

gloves. Then go dancing.
The pickup attempts are always a great boost to my ego. And I'm not terribly skinny, but I am curvy, so it reminds me that there are men other than my husband who like women with curves. The flirting is fun and there's no way I'd ever take anyone up on their offers to do anything for me (though I have been tempted by the guy who was a submissive and wanted to spend his days cleaning my house just so he could see me in that outfit... but I think a service would be cheaper than the emotional hazards that such would bring....)
The other thing I do is drop in to a burlesque dance class. It's all women, it's all about the tease, and it's a cheap pick-me-up as well as a great workout.
If Vickie's Sweatshop Emporium does it for you, then more power to you. I'm not a fan, and I've gotten far better service and deals with local companies.

10. I ask why I don't feel "sexy," and whom I'm trying to feel that way for. |

Is it for fat, ugly, misogynist men and their fascist standards for what constitutes "sexy" (read: whatever appearance makes it easiest for them to view women as objects who exist only for them to masturbate with)? After I've taken thirty seconds to remember there's nothing un-"sexy" about me, I usually go back to reading, spending quality time with my own interests and the non-brainwashed non-misogynists who support me in achieving them, and don't sweat my wardrobe. It's a great life for me, lemme tell ya.

11. It would be nice to feel as if I'm attractive to SOMEONE. |
|
It's been years and I feel like I've lost myself. I'm just in a deep rut of self-pity right now. My husband and I have gone through a very long struggle with his illness and sometimes I forget about what it is like to have a semi-normal life. If this is difficult for me - I can't imagine how much more difficult for him it is.

14. Here are a couple of suggestions. |
|
Edited on Sun Aug-13-06 08:07 AM by NewWaveChick1981
First, you need a hug. Second, take a long, luxurious bubble bath and afterward, put on a nice body lotion. Third, even if you can't or won't wear something other than jeans, you can wear sexy underwear on underneath. Get thee to Victoria's Secret, sweetie! :)
Fourth, experiment with makeup. Try new looks in the privacy of your own home. I like to really play up my eyes sometimes, and at others, my lips. Fifth, either get or give yourself a manicure and a pedicure. You'll feel totally pampered and much better.
I hope it gets better soon, sweetie. Remember, this is just for YOU.
