Have you ever been in a focus group for anything? |

I went to one yesterday. What a waste of time. My friend and I had nothing else to do. I got some tickets so we decided to see what it was.
They previewed two pilots. The first was called "Soulmates" and it was CRAP. It starred Kim Raver (Audrey Raines on "24") and the "Teabagger" character from "Prison Break". I wonder why they even greenlit the pilot. I heard it may be on in the fall, but it's unlikely to go anywhere.
The other show was called "City" and starred one of the characters from "Mary Tyler Moore show". This pilot looked like it must have been done some 15+ years ago. It loooked ooold. I think they dusted this off their archives since it had the same producer as "Crash" and "Million Dollar Baby" (Paul Haggis was the name I believe). This seemed like standard sitcom material we've seen for the last 15 years. It didn't seem especially interesting or original.
Anyways, they also asked us to take surveys on household products. I would rather have just left early, because it was such a waste of time.

be little more than exercises in product placement & recognition, similar templates are used for the ID'ing of political entities x( it's spooky how much so much of that stuff feeds into itself
