Can I download from itunes in mp3 format? |
|
I thought the answer was yes. Set preferences as such, but I got a m4p file. Do I need to convert that? Argggghhhh..

There may be a legal for-pay converter... but that would defeat the purpose of itunes.
There's a new law in France that deals with this issue... Apple may pull out of France because of it...

2. Well that sucks. I just paid $10 for an album I can't listen to. |
|
I guess I can burn it to a cd and then rip it, but there's no convenience in that. I'll just order the actual cds from amazon. I guess this is why several years later, I still don't get itunes.

5. that's what I do-- it's still cheaper by quite a bit... |
|
...and I want backups anyway. I just routinely burn every CD I buy from iTunes-- I use a Linux mini-itx computer for a music server, not an iPod, so I burn 'em, then rip on the music server.
