Help! Laptop battery problem! |
|
I've got a Dell (don't lecture me, it usually works fine for what I need it). The battery light blinks green, then orange several times. It says that the battery is at 98%, but it won't run on battery power (turns off if I unplug the AC cord) and the battery's getting really warm very fast.
Help?!

I know there were some recalled a little less than a year ago, but mine wasn't affected.

took the battery out, put it back in and restarted the computer. It seems to be working again, no more blinking. (I'd taken the battery out earlier today, and I don't remember if the problem had started before that)
I'll keep an eye out to see if mine's been recalled or not

4. Consider getting a new battery. |
|
I had to get the one in my Toshiba replaced after about a year of use. They're not designed to be permanent.
