Pet peeves about co-workers
A woman transferred to my side of the cube farm is providing running commentary on all of her work. "Oh, that's interesting." "I didn't know that." "Well, I have to track this down." ...

Just shut up and do your work. We don't need a blow by blow. Yes, I'm tired and grumpy today if it's not completely evident.

So, what are your co-workers doing today to annoy you?

3. Getting me yelled at by judges and suing potential clients
I had a case this week where a person suffering from an overload of certain hormones decided to play hardball with the defense and file a "declaration of readiness) i.e. take them to court over something that could have been handled over the phone.

It created two problems: 1) I've been working with this particular law firm to send us business.
2) it's the second time it's happened with this particular judge (who knows it wasn't me, she knows I negotiate) but I was the one in her chambers so I got it with both guns!

6. OMFG, not a coworker, but my husband does that...
Edited on Wed Aug-16-06 10:28 AM by NewWaveChick1981
It drives me batshit insane.... He'll say things like, "That's interesting!" or "Huh! I didn't know that!" When he does that, he's trying to control me. If he WANTS me to look at something, he needs to ASK me instead of just assuming I will come take a look any time he does that. :grr: It's passive-aggressive attention-seeking, and I'm not playing that stupid game.

There. I feel better now. :P I know how you feel.

But my so called "boss" never returns calls, can't be found, carries his resignation letter in his pocket at all times, and calls me Reets. But I dig the guy. The rest of them, I can do without.

10. Faxing me something four times in a row if I don't "move on it"
fast enough. I mean I might not even be in the office and this guy will fax something and fax it again an hour later. :grr:

12. Leaving their cellphones on their desks

while they step away. Then their phone rings, of course. And no, that ringtone is not cute. It is extremely annoying.

13. Celfone Ringtones
One guy in my office uses the overture from Carmen as his ringtone. His phone goes off at least half a dozen times a day. I want to grab it and ram it down his fucking throat sometimes.
