I don't know much about Nation of Islam but it seems
a severe version of Islam in the same way that being
a Jehovah's Witness is extreme in Christianity. It
is not surprising that you might go from one extreme
to another.

After all, the 'father' of 'compassionate conservatism'
was a hard line Marxist before 'becoming' a hard line
right wing Christian wack job.
