Paisley is so much cooler.

(Though I do appreciate a good plaid for that hardy winter look.) :P

14. Rhymes with "add"
thus, Plaid Adder has a better ring to it than "Paisley Adder."

Although I agree paisley is cool, it is also a bitch to draw, so I wouldn't have been able to do the graphic:

Been dusting ole bloomington all day long. Not enough to stick... just enough to frustrate school kids who look out angrily at the sky thinking... *it COULD have been a snow day... instead I have to take this final!*

25. Yes it does... and I am impressed!
Got hooked in 1984 with olympic ice dancing (to this date there has been NOTHING like Torvil and Dean's performance...) Always liked singles (was a preteen when we all had to get Dorothy Hammil haircuts!)... then lived in Michigan and could catch the CBC when this phenominal young male canadian was winning world championship after world championship... to this day - while he had a few rough years (and didn't do well in the olympics) I still think that Kurt Browning still reigns as "Mr. Showmanship"!

Oops... I meant to say... I know what you mean - I also enjoy watching ice skating.

29. I had a Dorothy Hammill cut when I was 8.
It was Godawful. My hair has a lot more body than Dorothy's ever did.

I agree with you about Browning, although I think Yagudin may step in and take over the title (Victor Petrenko is a showman in his own inimitable way, but I don't think he's as interesting to watch as either of them).

I also really liked Paul Wylie, and am sad that he is not still around. Moved on to better things, I guess.

Since Michelle Kwan's star has waned I have kind of lost interest in the ladies, but the pairs! The pairs is what it's all about. Not that the US has had a decent pairs team, like, in 15 years, but I don't care, I'll watch Sale and Pelletier and Shen and Zhao as long as people let me.

34. I grew up with someone
who earned a bronze in the pairs. It has, indeed, been awhile. I haven't watched closely recently - I will have to keep my eyes open for events and become reacquainted with the field.

Didn't Wylie keep putting off Law School (was it Harvard Law) for "one more year on the circuit?" I miss him, but wish him well.

There are many fine male skaters who do a good show - and Yagudin (sp?) does have a special flare... But Browning just tapped into each crowd and made them a part of his performance like noone else. Caught him in a recent special - it was nice to see him back.. and that he still has flashes of that showmanship.

36. Saw him in the latest "Ice Wars"
I was shocked to see North American finally "lose." Gives you hope for 2004.

Noticed also that Oksana appears to be back. That was a sad frickin' story. We saw her once in CHampions on Ice during her first "comeback" and it was pretty sad. She seems to be coming more back this time around, although it's too bad she's still fixated on Swan Lake.

45. I'd like to drop about 80 pounds.
Apart from that, I'm perfect!

That's not true, of course...I have many little flaws, but most of them are things I can live with. I have occasionally gotten worried about my penchant for harshing on people, and have sometimes gone so far as to give it up for Lent. However, I always make an exception for any Bush that happens to be president.

I'm not sure, but you do have enough at 107.

"Freeps" is more or less the name they like. Posters at Freerepublic call themselves Freepers, freeps is just a slighlty shorter name.

??? I wouldn't know that.

If you look at her profile (the human silhouette to the right of her name) it will show the correct number of posts.
