Apparently, I 'have' to stop crossing my 7's because my boss doesn't 'like' the way it looks. I should, apparently, just stop crossing them ALL THE TIME because he doesn't like it, so he wont have to see it on the day sheet.
Can you say, fuck that? I can.

3. I used to write them that way |
|
Living overseas as a kid, that was the way it's done in Europe (or where I lived anyway). Kept the habit going for years even after returning to the U.S., but then fell back into the non-crossed way for whatever reason. I never knew it could annoy anyone.

4. Not only does it annoy someone |
|
but it apparently annoys them enough to give me a lecture about it, and they expect that I will change my writing style which has been the same since childhood to accommodate their quirk.
I wouldn't really care as much as I do if they weren't already such crazy control freaks about EVERYTHING. Frankly, they don't pay me enough to not only put up with this shit but also change things like my handwriting.
I think you gotta be pretty anal and nuts to care so much you expect others to rid themselves of lifelong habits to mollify you. Unless that habit was like, pissing your pants. Then I'd get it. :D

And that is why the whole management team save one left within six months of this guy taking over the buisiness. Oh yeah, and I was the "new" one there with 3.5 years. One woman had 12. And he gave us all nice raises when he bought the place...and we still basically all told him to shove it eventurally.

I also have a stuffed sheep - his name is Bogart and he's my traveling buddy. For some reason, he goes with me on every trip I take.
I was with you on the 7's anyway, but the fact that you have a stuffed sheep clinches it. You're right, your boss is wrong.

40. The crossed 7 is to clarify that it's not a 1. The one in europe has a |

much longer top that is almost an inverted V. The left hand wing being only slightly shorter and slight extended, while the right hand stem 'makes land" vertically.

She gave me a "C" on an "A" paper because I used British spellings. And when I tried to appeal it she said, "This is America. You have to use American English." And she was about eight-five at the time. I think back on all the generations of students who had her and I'm no longer surprised at the state this nation is in.

See how your boss likes that. If said boss says one word about it, mention that you 'had' to quit crossing things because they didn't like it.
And yes, that sounds pretty controlling to me. I say cross your sevens EVERY time you are not at work. That is just the craziest rule I have ever heard a boss make up for the hell of it.

Then they came for the crossers of 7's and I did not speak out because I was not a crosser of 7's. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.

She wanted me to do my Overnight Status Logs exactly like her pet from the other program did them. I had to put the last initial of each client because her pet did so, and I had to write out "sleeping" or "awake" instead of just S or A because her pet did so. I felt like asking if I should sell bootleg CDs to the clients like her pet did (which was common knowledge among the direct care staff) but I didn't since I had no proof of it.
