Great News!

Today my mom took me, MrG and the Grumpy kids to a picnic for the employees of the major bank she works for. I used to work for them too. It was at this really cool (but too expensive for us to contemplate taking the kids too) amusement park/area. They have 4 different go cart rides, water wars, rock climbing, a bungee jumping type thing, batting cages and mini golf. Everything was free and they served a heck of a lunch. That's not the great part though. My mother, who 6 out of 7 days hates my guts and will tell you how I am never there for her...and chose my father over her, introduced me to three mortgage loan officers at the picnic. Why is this so great? Because all 3 (Three) of them told me they would put me on their list of approved RE appraisers!!! :bounce: Each can only have 4-5 appraisers to choose from. :woohoo: This means better income, less worry, less overtime work for MrG just to name a few things. I am horribly excited over this. It would be like getting a HUGH promotion in any other field. I've been hoping for this for a long time, but never wanted to ask my mother for the intro because I didn't want to use her.

We've had a tough relationship my whole life; she never looked on me as a daughter but as her competition. 26. I got really lucky with how I got into it.

I started out by typing appraisals for a couple of appraisers. One has been in the business for about 35 years and didn't want to mess with computers so I became his right had girl. When I decided to take classes, he was willing to mentor me...and then when I became licensed he brought me into his business. But it's a fee split. This will be my first major client under my own company! I could just grin to split my face. Thanks! :hi:

45. We're going to make a contingent offer on Monday...

The good thing is we only take out loans based on MrG's income. My income has been for rainy days and savings for the tight times. But, this makes me feel a lot better, since our mortgage would be raising significantly if we were to get the house. MrG waffles on the drive (it's 45 minutes when he only has a 10 minute commute now) but I think we're going to Go for it! :) Thanks so much! :hi:

50. Number two..the ranch. Although we LOVED the property, landscaping

and overall appearance of number 1, it had water in the basement and the laundry (of a 2700 sq.ft. house!) was in the basement.Wouldn't work out to well with rhuematoid arthritis. The floor plan, kitchen and bathrooms in the ranch are stunning, and we love the walkout basement. They were both beautiful homes on walkthrough. Now, I'm just holding my breath! Thanks! :hi: :hug:
