Who is the funniest person you personally know |

Ok, DU counts, too. For me it is a toss up between Jeff's brother Richard, and my brother Brendan. Both of them crack me up. How about you?

My best buddy where I worked before I got laid off.
He's in his late 50's and sat in the cubicle behind me and plays the "George from Seinfield" loser routine. But he is not a loser. He is a sweetheart and funnier than shit when he gets pissed off and fired up, which is often. Anal retentive as hell, but so are all of us programmers - it's an occupational hazard. :D
LOL!
We still email often. I miss the old bastard. We are arranging drinks with the gang some time over the next couple weeks. He's worked up over something right now. I don't know what it is yet, but I will before the event takes place, and I won't have to ask him what it is, ROTFLOL! I jus' love Byron.

5. We no longer speak (I put my foot in it with her years ago), |

But one of the funniest people I ever knew used to write segments for one of the radio satire shows (I won't say which one, since she and I don't communicate anymore and she doesn't work for the show now, either). I went to college with her, she always was really biting, cynical and funny in person -- she used to write the most entertaining letters of anybody I ever corresponded with. There was some deadly freeverse poetry, too, if I recall correctly.
We attended college together back around 1982, and kept in touch for over a decade even though she lived on the other side of the country ... but we had a sort of falling out years back, and haven't spoken since. Doesn't make her any less funny, though.
Mr. Nownow is no slouch -- we do some pretty funny schtick between us, we keep each other laughing. He was doing improv comedy when we started going out with each other (edit -- oops! I said six, but it's more like seven) years ago, he did a killer Keith Richard impression in one of the routines the improv group used to do. I think I started falling in love with him when I realized he could make me laugh -- once I hit 30, I realized it was one of the most enduring and important things we could share, making each other laugh.
My late father was a hoot, as well. Dad was funny in a more subtle way -- wordplay, really gentle humor -- but funny nonetheless.

She cracks me up every time we talk. She'd say the same thing about me. Then you get both of us and our other sister together in a room -- you won't be able to stop laughing. We have a helluva lot of fun. Too bad they're in California & I'm in Maryland.
