actual line from the old "Newlywed Game"... |
|
Bob, the Host: So, Newlywed Number two, what is the weirdest place you've ever had sex?
Female Newlywed Number Two: That would be in the butt, Bob.

Bob Eubanks (sp) has no recollection of this ever happening. I saw it in an interview.
I'll bet Snopes has this covered.

I've seen the footage. VH1 occasionally runs this show of clips called "Greatest TV Game Show Moments", and it's on there. I swear on my mother's life, I'm telling you the truth. This woman was dumber than a box of rocks, and she truly misunderstood the question. When he explained what he meant, she turned BEET red.
Cat
ps. there's a great moment on that same show with a British guy on Family Feud who answers "turkey" to nearly every question asked. It makes me laugh until tears run down my cheeks.

12. NBC and, natrually, FOX had the clip in their game show specials too |
|
It's interesting, such clips get out there in numerous channels yet some still think it's a hoax.
The scenario gives credit to all sorts of TV shows and movies that choose the copout of giving the human race 'selective amnesia' when it comes to past alien invasions and so on. (a prime example of this is "War of the Worlds", a sci-fi program from 1988... very good program, too - especially for the characters and their strained interactions with each other...)

It really happened. Eubanks showed the clip on some show recently, "Outrageous Game Show Moments," or something like that.

Claim: In response to a question from host Bob Eubanks about the "most unusual place you've ever made whoopee," a female Newlywed Game contestant responded, "That would be up the butt, Bob." Status: True.

I'm not sure which is funnier; the word "butt" has such a juvenile charm.

Snopes says it never happened, but I have a memory of watching the Tonight Show with Raquel Welch as a guest. She brought her pet cat with her. She asks Johnny, "Would you like to pet my pussy?" Johnny replied, "Sure, just move the damn cat."

The "That would be in the butt, Bob" quote was never said. However, "in the ass" was said. Check the snopes link.
