Listening to Beethoven's Fifth... it's been a while. |
|
And I am still in awe of the power and majesty of this music.
Chills, man... it gives me chills.
Ludwig....:loveya:

1. The first movement is the greatest extrapolation of a single musical |
|
idea in all of history.
The second movement is majestic. No other word for it.
Great piece of music you got there, speedoo. :-)

5. It's been done to death so much, some people never get past the |
|
first four notes. Everybody knows those notes: "The Hand of Fate knocking at the door", as Ludwig Van described it. But how many people know the 45 minutes of sheer unadulterated genius that follow them?

It's a pity how little people seem to appreciate such pieces of work nowadays.

12. I like the Third, FWIW. |
|
The first symphony I forced myself to listen to. It has a permanent place on my MP3 player, even if I don't listen to it often.

The fifth, most of all. Then the ninth and the sixth.
But I can listen to them all. Once I had a long drive and I played them all, one after the other, on the car stereo. It's something everyone should do, if they like classical music at all.:hi:

17. Call me someone who hates it bieng incessantly replayed by fools, |
|
but I prefer the Ninth. The fifth is good too.
And I just got "Ride Of The Valkyries" By Richard Wagner the other day. :)
