DU Group Proposal, Round 3: Motorcycles & Scooters |
|
Sure, it's getting cold. Sure, gas is getting cheaper. But dang it, I just know if I keep at it I'll get the prerequisite ten folks.
So. Sign on if you'd like a moto/scoot DU Group. To wit:
The DU Motorcycle and Scooter group is a forum dedicated to the discussion and promotion of two-wheeled powered transport, including purchasing, maintenance, safety, skills improvement and gear; both as recreation and for daily commuting.
Once more into the... whatever. Chime in! :D

Besides, cheaper gas is only temporary. It'll be back up after November.

14. I can out-ride my Harley owning friends on those curvy back roads. |
|
I don't have the need for speed but 1800CC will get up and go if you want to roll the throttle. One of the great features on a Goldwing is reverse. :) I've seen strong men asking for help to pick-up a dropped bike. When I layed my Yamaha Virago down in my driveway and had to strain getting it upright again x( I sold it.

15. I'm a dirt guy myself |
|
On account of the lack of paved roads in my county. ;)
BUT the best advice I ever got was from an old scramble rider. He spoke thusly:
"When you get a dirt bike, walk up to it and shove it over onto the ground. Walk around it and pick it up again. If you have trouble with either of those things, you've got the wrong bike."

9. ONLY if I don't get beat up.. |

for liking crotchrockets. My ex finace died on one in 2001, but that's another story. Current hubby wants a cruiser, but all we have is my ex's VH-striped Kaw 750 at the moment. Ride to live, live to ride.

I'm determined to get a big scooter or a medium cycle in the next year.
