Stupid question about travel to Europe |
|
I'm going to Italy next year (my first trip abroad), and I'm bringing my digital camera, of course.
The camera uses AA batteries. I use rechargeables, but don't want to pack my charger, or buy an adapter.
Question: Are standard AA batteries available in Europe as readily as they are in the US? Dumb question, I know, but I also know that the things we take for granted here are not standard elsewhere.
Can you buy AA batteries on every street corner there, or should I make plans to pack the charger?

1. Yes. It's a universal standard. Don't worry. |
|
You'll be able to buy batteries from almost any newspaper/ciggie store.

2. Are you sure about the charger? |
|
Many chargers have a built-in converter for the voltage difference. All that you would need is a plug adapter. Batteries are likely to be pricier over there.

1)Euro and Pound stronger than the dollar.
2)I've found things like batteries, camara, film, all seem to be pricier in europe. I could be wrong.
