I am covered with grime and smell like dog
I am now a full-time puppy mom. Corbu, our 7-week-old Braque du Bourbonnais, keeps me busy just like a one-year old. Crate time, peepee time, food time, play time, nap in mommy's lap time. I go to bed in my grey Hanes sweatsuit ready to take him out. Bundling up in the middle of the night, out we go, "Come on, go piddle. Good boy," back in to bed. Playing fetch and tug-of-war with the puppy, hoping to wear him out.

But I always had good luck with a wind-up alarm clock wrapped in an old towel. Set it next to a sleeping puppy in their sleep area. They think its momma dog's heart ticking and you can both get some rest.

I miss my pooch. We had to put her down on New Year's Eve last year.

Finding it hard to do it all over again!

On edit: I typed "alarm clark, rather than alarm clock" - go figure!

12. I have a second interview after the holidays.
They said I was 'interesting.' Whatever that means. Can't be all bad since they're talking to me again.

10. re putting animals down
It is horrible but a lot less horrible than the cruelty that old age and 24/7 infirmity brings. Would that I have someone to put me down when I reach that state.

Cher
