1. wow, me too!!
actually his b'day was last week but, the get together for this side of the family is not until the 15th. I am at a total loss

They get SOOO much these days. I thought about just giving him a card with a dollar bill in it. He can play with it, tear it up or eat his cake with it...so long as he has fun...cos you know he won't remember it:P

3. Something huggable.
Either a blanket or a stuffed animal. I still take pride in having given a friend's baby a teddy bear that became THE teddy bear.

8. LMAO
I actually gave the triplets stuff like that for their first birthday. Now that they are nearly 6, they still play with it in their toy kitchen.

"Toy Kitchen" -- the "Mecca" of all toddlers and pre-schoolers.
My kids Leah (4 1/2) and Daniel (3) absolutely love toy kitchens!! It cracks me up how much fun they have and some of the things they come up with while playing.

15. Given that the triplets' father is a professional chef...
they feel a real identification with the toy kitchen. One of the boys already wants to follow in his father's footsteps. The other wants to play for the White Sox. The girl wants to be a princess and a rock star. Both.

11. Me, I'd want something horribly dangerous looking that I could put in my
mouth whenever mom was likely to be watching (but was in reality clean and safe) I was kind of a monster as a kid though.

17. Our niece turned one last month
This is what we got her.

She was just getting the walking thing going and the car she could push or ride,it only cost 15.00 and has a lot of sound effects just right to drive mom and dad nuts.
