3. I am alone here for my love of Duran Duran.
But I found some nose bleed seats for their November 9 show in Greeneville,SC for $55 dollars. I checked one of those scalper sites and one ticket was $180.00 for a seat in the floor area. I will just have to wait again. I would have been going alone anyway.

8. Yeah.
I figured I'd never get a chance to see them again, so I was willing to pay a lot. The concert was awesome.

22. Yeah, no kidding
Now I go to opera and orchestral concerts for that price. And a meal at Yoshi's is about that, and there you get to see the jass/blues of a lifetime. But regular concerts of the mainstream bands, no, not interested.

25. You know what? I don't go to the "big" concerts, either. My wife and I
like to go to the House of Blues if one of our very favorite acts is playing. Other than that, we usually don't go to shows.

We have two small children so if you add the cost of a babysitter...it gets very expensive!!

The shows we see at House of Blues are usually at least $50. I won't spend more than that anymore.

10. I paid $75 to see Aerosmith a couple years ago.

During their greatest hits tour. The seats were ok. It was worth it, even if my friend puked on me.

I'm not sure what my limit would be though, depends on who it is.

13. $75 in most cases.
If it was something hella special like Rage Against the Machine getting back together for a tour, I would pay much more.

17. That's about right for me too.
I could see myself paying more for some sort of once in a lifetime thing, but as a general rule, $75 would be about the upper limit.

I've never actually paid more than $45, but I haven't gone and seen a show since '97 or so due to lack of funds, lack of transpo, lack of date or the good bands skipping my town.

14. Whatever Phish wants to charge, if they get back together
but, even so, most I've ever spent to see Phish is $35. And that included a parking fee.

I got a bit excited when I saw that moe. would be opening for The Who on some shows, then I saw the prices...

$300 for a fraction of The Who?

Fuck no.

I could see moe. twenty times for that price...

15. I paid $175 for depeche mode at the joint - hard rock hotel
it was worth it. I've spent thousands of dollars on concerts in the past 13 years. I've been to over 300 shows. Lots of Heavy metal :)

I am the cheapest bastard of them all. Either that, or I enjoy really bad music.

The last concert I attended cost me nothing. I snagged free tickets last week to a Brazilian Oforo concert a few nights ago. While I admit the music was peppy and fun to dance to, the guy who played the triangle on every song made me think of one thing -- it needed more cowbell. Does anyone have a "more cowbell" visual handy?

18. I paid $180 to see U2 at the LA Colliseum on the Pop Mart tour...
that was for one ticket.

We were about 15 rows back from the stage so to me, it was definitely worth it.

20. Depends: Bon Jovi, a nickel. Pink Floyd, maybe $200.
And I wouldn't even pay a Tinker's Damn to see Beyonce or Brittney or Toby Keith or any rap guy.

23. I can see bands I like for less than $20 here. Most I've paid: $60-70.
I saw Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones in 1994. $60-70 each. I saw U2 a few years later, but that ticket was a gift. I have no idea how much it cost. I suspect that's the most expensive show I've ever seen.

24. Of course South by Southwest wristbands are about $110.
And Austin City Limits festival passes are a tad less. But those are multiple days and many, MANY bands.

26. I would pay $1000 for Led Zeppelin with Plant, Page, Jones & Jason Bonham
Ditto for Pink Floyd with Roger Waters. Other than that, no more than $150 for a pair.
