can't find anything about in on wikipedia or thru google

my DVD player works perfectly, but the whole movie looks like green cellophane is covering the TV screen

is this how the movie is supposed to look? green?

1. Probably
I don't remember if it had a greenish tint in particular, but I do remember the moving having a very dark shade to it pretty much all the way through. The Japanese version seemed to be the same way from what I can remember. I guess it's just a way of creating horror-movie atmosphere, but I could see how it could be a pain if it makes it hard to distinguish what's going on on the screen, etc.

2. i'm watching it now (1st time) as i check for replies, and realizing...
if this piece of crap doesn't get better - or at least have something scary in it - in the last 19 minutes, it won't matter if the green tint is a purposeful or accidental defect cuz it's going in the recycle bin

my god, one person actually told me it gave her nightmares

scariest moment i've experienced so far was the fear that it might not end

4. ok, those last 19 minutes redeemed the rest of it
i still didn't find anything frightening about any part of the movie, but it all tied together neatly enough to save the DVD from the recycle bin

but WTF IS UP WITH THAT GREEN TINT??? anyone?

6. Look at the screencaps here...
http://www.neodymsystems.com/ring/images.shtml

All the "miscellaneous images" links have a bunch of screen caps.
