2. I made a glazed ham this week.
I used this new glaze, but it wasn't that good. I thought it'd be good... it was Boar's Head... but it wasn't. It was too bitter. Or spicy... whatever, it wasn't sweet enough, so I added some honey and apricot preserves and that smoothed out the taste a bit. This was after I'd pulled off all the onion and celery. Do y'all do that? Put onion and celery on there? Well I do, anyway. Came out pretty good, but the kids still didn't eat it. Kids are fickle. You parents out there know this already. One day they like glazed ham ... the next day they don't. That's life with kids. Well, my kids anyway. I've heard of kids who aren't picky eaters, but I've never met any of them. That'd make life much easier.

Is this even a story? Nah, guess not. I'm just rambling. But anyway it's my lunch break and I'm not eating yet so I'll share another non-story.

This morning I dreamt about a snake. It was a weird dream... I was holding this snake in the bathroom... it was a brown snake. I was putting it down near a basket of laundry, which had a blanket inside it. As the snake was just leaving my hands, I realized I shouldn't leave the snake there, because the kids might come in, try to get the blanket, and get a nasty scare. So I go to get the snake out of the basket, and I'm touching the blanket, and I can feel the snake moving around in there. That's when I woke up. Isn't that strange? I could *feel* the snake underneath the blanket. I woke up with nothing near my hands but my teddy bear. I don't remember ever feeling anything in dreams quite so vividly. That ever happen to any of y'all? I'm curious. I could look up stuff on the web about it, I suppose, but... eh.

11. I vacuumed today.
Then I did some laundry, watched "Homicide-Life on the Street", and ate a sandwich. I still have to put the laundry away, clean the bathroom, and take a shower. Maybe I'll make beef and noodles for dinner.

14. I organized my sock drawer last weekend. All of the casual, athletic and
dress socks are arranged according to color (lightest to darkest) and length (shortest to longest), except the athletic which are all white and the same length. I'm still trying to decide where to locate that pair of sockets that Delta gave me when I flew to Dublin as they are closer to slippers than socks although they can be folded like socks they have little rubber things on the bottom so one doesn't slip on slick surfaces when wearing them. Maybe I'll put them in the closet with my slippers when i organize them.

15. so at lunch...
I decide to go to Kmart and get cat litter, food and some other stuff....drive all the way over there from downtown where I work and found out I left my checkbook at home today. Yep, it's sitting on the kitchen table right now, next to a bag of whole wheat pasta and a jar of Kalamata olives. Yep, I can see it there, but no going to Kmart today. Back at work now.
