Poll question: Are You a Trivial Pursuit Grand Master? |
|
I am a TPGM. MrsCoffee is the only person i'm allowed to play with, because i get all hyper-competetive and people tend to hate me after i kick the holy hell out of them. We own 13 card sets, and 9 boards. My favorite possession is my Genus I set in the dark blue box.
So, are you a TP Grand Master?

I am the best at the 20 year anniversary board, which includes only questions about 1980 through 2000, but I can compete on any of them.

5. It's not just pop culture. |
|
It's questions from all categories, just that the events or whatever happened in that 20-year period. It's cool!

6. it's totally pop culture. it's not a REAL TP cardset. |
|
the past 20 years = pop culture. if it doesn't involve the Wars of the Roses, it ain't a real TP set.

on the cards were 1986 contemporary answers. That was challenging when the answers today would be the New Czech Republic, but then it was Czechoslovakia. Another example was to remember to distinguish between East Germany and West Germany. :hi:

The Baby Boomer edition is really hard for me. But other than that, I can't be beat.
On the DVD Pop Culture edition, I've run the table before -- left the circle, got all my pies, and returned to the circle without passing the dice.
My fiancee -- who's a pretty smart cookie -- has beaten me once in the two years we've known each other, and we play pretty often.
That said, despite the fact that I'm a writer/editor by trade, she constantly kicks my ass at word-related games (Scattergories, etc.)

Every so often we have a board game night and the only stipulation is that I can't bring over any Trivial Pursuit games, which is fine because I'll just kick their asses in Scrabble.
That and I'm not the most gracious winner, yeah thats right, I like to do victory dances...sue me!
