47. Just a suggestion...

but in case you ever do really need the pain relief from narcotic meds like oxycodone or hydrocodone, it helps to avoid nausea from them if you EAT before or when you take them.

Not just a few nibbles, but enough to give your tummy some padding, like one or two pieces of bread or toast. Drinking a glass of liquid can help combat the nausea, too.

But if those don't do the trick for ya, try a couple of Benadryl (generic diphenhydramine HCL), 50 mg total, along with each pain medication dose -- no closer together than every four hours though.

Other antihistamine products can do the job as well, if you get drowsy from Benadryl and would prefer not to add that to the effects from the pain reliever (but many other antihistamines can make you drowsy too, so check out the label or ask a pharmacist).

I've been a pain patient for almost six years so just thought I'd offer this suggestion -- might help anyone else out there with the same problem you have too, GoP.

was a OK movie for just relaxing and not thinking :) Meryl Streep was great though as bitch.

Been having a LOT of trouble getting proper sleep lately ... not sure why. Usually I know why!

Recently I've been "getting the big eye," as my dad used to say. Wake up waaay too early and then it's hopeless to even try to drift back to sleep again.

I can't seem to get even TWO HOURS of shuteye at one time these days, and sleep deprivation can make ya really weird, like you're living in a parallel universe or somethin'. Spaced and out of sync.

Wonder what's up with that? :dilemma:
