When perfectly ripe, they taste better than candy.

And the island of Maui makes damn sure tourists
don't smuggle them back in their luggage on the
return trips home.

2. Next time you're there, do this:
Just program this number in your phone...they have the freshest pineapples *and* they'll deliver them to the airport for you! And passengers are allowed one box of pineapples, as checked baggage, in addition to their regular baggage allowance!

3. Oh, I forgot to tell you...
...you have to order them at least 48 hours prior to your departure.

That store looks very familiar.

I think I've seen it, right next door to a surf shop
where we rented some car racks for my SOs board.

The irony is, the surf was way down that summer of 1999,
the last time I was there. He was so frustrated!

I've bookmarked the site for the next time I go.
